Getting Started with Therapy

Finding the right therapist is the first step toward meaningful change. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you’re returning after some time away, we’ll make the process clear and help you connect with someone whose experience, personality, language, and approach fit your needs.

You don’t need to know exactly what kind of therapy you need or what to say. Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll help you decide where to begin.

How to Get Started

We’ll learn about your needs, preferences, location, language, and availability and help you explore the therapists who may be the best fit.

Investing in Your Well-Being

Finding the right therapist is one of the most important investments you can make in your emotional well-being.

Whether you're exploring private-pay therapy or wondering if insurance may be an option, we're here to help you understand your choices and connect you with the therapist who best fits your needs.

Choose the Therapist That's Right for You

We understand that cost is an important part of choosing a therapist. That's why we offer a variety of payment options to help you find care that fits your needs. Every therapist at Multicultural Therapist Group shares the same commitment to thoughtful, relationship-centered, and culturally responsive care. Fees reflect differences in clinical experience, licensure, and professional development—not the quality of care you can expect to receive.

  • Insurance Options

Some of our therapists offer a limited number of virtual appointments that accept insurance. If your therapist is not in-network, you may request a Superbill or choose sessions at your usual specialist copay plus $10 (minimum fee of $30 per session).

This option allows you to receive therapy without submitting claims to your insurance company or requiring a mental health diagnosis.

  • Sliding Scale

We believe therapy should be accessible to everyone.

Select therapists offer a limited number of reduced-fee appointments starting at $50 per session, based on financial need and availability.

If cost is a concern, we encourage you to reach out. We'll be happy to discuss your options and do our best to connect you with a therapist and fee that work for your unique situation.
