Rachael Marie Barrientos
MA, LPC, NC
Bilingual Counselor | Therapist
In-person in Austin & Online Across Texas
One of the greatest privileges of being a therapist is creating a space where people can simply be themselves—without feeling the need to explain, defend, or hide parts of who they are.
Rachael believes healing begins in relationships where people feel emotionally safe, deeply heard, and accepted with compassion. Her calm presence, genuine curiosity, and thoughtful approach help clients slow down, make sense of their experiences, and reconnect with their own strengths.
Known for her warmth, sensitivity, and dedication, Rachael is deeply committed to both her clients and her own professional growth. She believes learning never stops and continually seeks opportunities to deepen her clinical knowledge so she can provide the highest quality care to every person she works with.
My Approach to Therapy
Having personally navigated different cultures, languages, and spiritual traditions, Rachael understands that our stories are shaped by much more than symptoms alone. Culture, family, identity, relationships, and personal beliefs all influence how we experience life's challenges—and how we heal.
Her goal is to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel understood before they are expected to change. Together, you'll explore not only the challenges that brought you to therapy, but also the strengths, relationships, and experiences that can support lasting growth.
Creating a space where healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and genuinely supported.

Outside the therapy room, I'm someone who is continually learning. Curiosity has always been one of my greatest strengths, and I believe my clients deserve a therapist who continues to grow alongside them. I feel deeply honored by the trust people place in me and never take that responsibility for granted.
