Nancy Riascos
MA, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Nelliana Acuña
In-Person in Houston & Online Across Texas
Nancy believes therapy is most powerful when people feel safe enough to be honest about their experiences and know they will be met with respect, compassion, and genuine care.
As an Afro-Latina therapist, she understands that identities, cultures, relationships, and lived experiences shape how we experience the world and ourselves. She approaches each client with openness and cultural humility, recognizing that every story deserves to be understood within its own context.
Known for her strong presence and thoughtful approach, Nancy doesn’t feel the need to fill every silence or offer immediate answers. She listens first and speaks with intention. Her questions, reflections, and observations come from careful consideration of what may help the client understand their experience more clearly.
Approach to Therapy
Therapy isn’t about fixing people. It is an opportunity to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped your life.
Together, we’ll explore your strengths, challenges, and recurring patterns with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to help you create change that feels meaningful and authentic to who you are.
Creating a space where honesty, courage, and genuine care lead the way to healing.

I believe relationships have the power to transform our lives. Whether I'm working with clients, continuing my professional development, or learning from the diverse communities I serve, I'm always striving to grow as both a therapist and a person.
One of the values that guides my work is intentionality. I don't believe every silence needs to be filled or every challenge requires an immediate answer. I believe in listening deeply, speaking thoughtfully, and showing up wholeheartedly for the people who place their trust in me. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they discover their own strength, resilience, and capacity for change.
